ccSCOOP Sports

05-18-10- 11:25 a.m. - On Thursday, May 13, at Taconic Hills Central School in Craryville, hundreds of male and female athletes from twelve schools, including local Columbia County teams Chatham, Hudson, Ichabod Crane, New Lebanon, and Taconic Hills, met up at the annual Patroon Conference Championships track meet. The athletes and fans were treated to nearly perfect weather for a mid-May track event, and when the sun set and the dust settled after nearly five hours of action, Ichabod Crane came away victorious as the male and female winners.

On the boys' side, by virtue of final standings at the championship meet, Maple Hill won the overall Patroon Conference crown for the entire season after bringing home second in the meet, and ICC finished second overall in the league after winning the meet. Chatham finished third in the meet and in the league, while Hudson brought home fourth in both the meet and league, and Taconic Hills finished seventh in the meet and fifth overall in the league. New Lebanon rounded things out finishing eighth in the championships but tying for sixth overall on the season.

On the girls' side, Maple Hill took home second in the championships, while Chatham finished third, Taconic Hills fourth, and Emma Willard fifth.
