LOOKING FOR WORK - Interview with Author Peter H. Stott
ccSCOOP is all about Columbia County—what makes it unique and how we can preserve our county’s character going forward. For us, Peter Stott’s book Looking for Work, published by the Columbia County Historical Society, is a starting place for the whole conversation. The work explores our industrial past and the nature of work in 19th and early 20th centuries. We believe that what we learn from our past can help structure our future and help balance the preservation of our natural and historic resources with our plans for economic development.
